When we charge sales tax
We collect sales tax only on orders delivered to states where we are legally required to collect it. Whether tax applies depends on the delivery address, not on where we are based.
We currently collect sales tax on orders delivered in Wyoming, at the combined state and local rate for the delivery address (4% to 9%, depending on the county). Orders delivered to other states are not charged sales tax by us at this time. We will update this page if that changes.
The $320 delivery charge is shown as a separate line and is not taxed.
How it is shown
If your order is taxable, the sales tax is calculated from your delivery address and shown as a separate line at checkout before you pay. It also appears on your order confirmation. If no tax line appears at checkout, we have not charged sales tax on your order.
Orders where we do not collect tax
If we do not collect sales tax for your state, you may still owe use tax to your state on your purchase. Check with your state’s tax authority or a tax adviser if you are unsure.
Tax-exempt purchases
If your business is exempt from sales tax, email a valid exemption certificate for the delivery state to sales@bluerockcontainers.com before you place your order.
